As CEO of VMD Companies, he has led the formulation of investment strategy, portfolio management, and the structuring of complex transactions—developing and repositioning assets across diverse markets while building lasting relationships with capital partners. His disciplined focus on generating strong risk-adjusted returns underscores the analytical rigor he brings to every investment decision.
Previously, Philip served as Vice President at BentallGreenOak, a global investment manager with over $50 billion in assets under management, where he acquired and managed a nationwide portfolio of real estate assets and oversaw value-add, development, and strategic initiatives. Earlier in his career, he founded Health Properties Group, an investment firm focused on medical office and senior housing assets—further sharpening his ability to identify and execute on specialized opportunities.
Philip holds a B.A. in Economics from Dickinson College and dual M.S. degrees in Real Estate Investments and Finance from Johns Hopkins University. An active member of the Urban Land Institute, NAIOP, and the Real Estate Finance Association, he combines deep industry expertise with a strategic mindset that strengthens VMDVC’s ability to evaluate opportunities and deliver value across its portfolio.
